Lies, Damn Lies, and the Republican Diatribe

Let's begin with a definition:

Noun: A forceful and bitter verbal attack against someone or something.
 
Keeping in mind that an increasing number of republicans are now inventing their own words...I thought it best to begin with a definition.

The facts:
 
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association responded to Bachmann's environmental assertions by explaining that because a large percentage of power plants in the United States are fueled by burning coal, the reduced energy consumption of fluorescent bulbs typically results in a significant overall reduction of mercury emissions, as well as greenhouse gases.[44]"That's not just the industry talking," said Mark Kohorst, "That's an accepted aspect of these products, and that's why they've been promoted so heavily."[44] Julia Bovey of the Natural Resources Defense Council also commented that "There is 200 times more mercury in each filling in Congresswoman Bachmann's teeth than there is in a compact fluorescent light bulb."
 
In addition, incandescent bulbs are extremely inefficient, costing you far more money than necessary for a given number lumen's.  Come to think of it, this may be why you want keep that federal tax deduction for persons making over $250,000 a year.  You really don't care how much things cost or how much the environment may suffer as a result of your actions.
 
Actually, you will be able to buy incandescent bulbs in the future.  Bulbs that meet reasonable standards of efficiency. 
 
Get the facts Ms Bachmann and quit lying to the American people.  Your politics of hate and dissembling are an embarrassment to the men to and women who fought and died to preserve the freedom we enjoy today.
